Gomer Grimes died on his father's farm, E. of Russellville on Sunday morning, after being critically ill for several weeks. He was one of two early victims of influenza, followed by a number of complications. The following Biography has been handed us: "Gomer Oth Grimes, eldest son of John R & Laura L. Grimes, was born June 11, 1887 and departed this life, Jan 12, 1919, aged 31 years, 7 months, 1 day. On Dec. 24, 1910 he was united in marriage to Miss Laura Madeline Connor. To this union was born a son, Leonard Connor. There is left to mourn his departure, the little son, wife, father and mother and one brother and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the home on Tuesday morning by Rev. Dodd of Greencastle. Burial was made in Russellville Cemetery - kbz
